Mizoram UPC Executive Chairman Upa Lalzirliana will be visiting Ailawng church today to attend the thanksgiving worship service.

General Superintendent Rev. Thangliansanga was attending the thanksgiving programme at Ailawng, Reiek Section from Friday night 23^rd June and he will be preaching until Sunday night worship service.

General Secretary Rev. Saienga Sailo was on a tour today ( 23^rd June, 2023) to attend thanksgiving worship service at Kawnpui Venglai church. He will preach from tonight at the worship service till Sunday night. The General Secretary will return to Aizawl on Monday June 26, 2023.

General Treasurer Rev. Zoramthara will be leaving for Sakawrdai Section Seminar cum Revival today. He will stay till Sunday and he will return to Aizawl on Monday June 26, 2023.

EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Mizoram UPC Executive Committee Mid-Year Meeting the two-day conference was concluded on Thursday 22^nd June, 2023.

The Executive Committee meeting was held at Mizoram UPC Office Conference Hall, Zonuam. Executive Chairman Upa Lalzirliana chaired the function. Treating Infant deaths according to the normal funeral procedures agenda was passed.

Mizoram UPC Executive Committee meeting was held from 21^st June Wednesday. Among the most prominent issues discussed were the death of infants in church families should be treated according to the normal funeral procedures, under the laws of the country where the body is placed, at home and Cemetery.

The meeting also decided to include this instructions to the Mizoram UPC Priesthood Guidelines on the treatment of infant deaths.

Mizoram UPC Executive Committee also decided to support the the Government and NGOs activities for the benefit of the country, nation and society.

Mizoram UPC Executive Committee has also established a Pay Commission. Members were appointed as Chairman, Rev. FH Lalramaliana, Secretary,

Rev. Thangliansanga, General Superintendent, Upa F. Lalremmawia and Upa Lalthlamuana Hnamte were appointed as members.

The Executive Committee also decided to establish a Bookroom Board. Three Full Time Evangelists T.K Abraham L. Zote, Halflong and T.K Lalhriatmawia, Lungtan T.k Langminlun, Thingkangphai, Churachandpur recruit by The recruitment committee were also approved by the Committee.

Three Office Drivers F. Lalramhmachhuana, Nursery Veng Lianhmingthanga, Electric Veng and V.L Khawngaihzuala, Chawnpui, were also given Temporary Appointment.

Mizoram UPC rules- revisions and suggestions made by the The Rules Commission was also discussed in the meeting and the recommendations were Approved by the Executive Committee.

Planning & Financial Board 

Mizoram UPC Planning & Financial Board meeting on Friday, 23^rd June at Conference Hall General Headquarters Office chaired by Board Chairman Upa Sawihlira discussed important church activities and requirement of Budget reforms.

Church building assistance sanction budget was also the most prominent issues.

Mizoram UPC Apostolic Theological Institute (ATI), Durtlang students donates blood for Synod Hospital.

The blood donation camp was held at Apostolic Theological Institute Durtlang on 21^st June, 2023. Synod hospital staff visited the scene and on this day

blood donation camp was attended by 21 students of Apostolic Theological Institute and one Lecturer donated 22 units of blood.

GPYD

General PYD, Mizoram UPC on Tuesday (20^th June, 2023) donated ₹1,00,000 to Central YMA leaders for the victims of Manipur riots.

GPYD organized a charity concert on May 30 for the victims of the Manipur conflict. The proceeds were donated to CYMA.

CYMA president R. Lalngheta chaired the function, GPYD treasurer T. Upa F. Lalrinliana handed over the funds and finance secretary Roneihthanga received the gifts on behalf of CYMA.

CYMA president R. Lalngheta said that "We are very pleased that GPYD has donated this amount,".

Prof. Lalnuntluanga, CYMA General Secretary reported on the action taken by the CYMA. CYMA said it has already spent over cheng nuai 30 and thanked GPYD.

General PYD secretary John Zothansanga said, "GPYD has done its utmost for our brothers and sisters. We have already issued statements of condolence and sent a letter to the Prime Minister of India. He added GPYD will not run away if CYMA needs it.

General PYD thanked all those who contributed to the Manipur Charity Concert.
